Brake spindles

Does anyone know if the 9" and 10" brakes use the same spindle?

I do not believe they do but I am not 100% sure. I have seen where the after market disk brake kits that fit stock spindles say they only fit on one.

spindles are differant. I think they use different size wheel bearings and ball joints.

No they aren't, I just went throught that. The 10 drum spindle is suppose to be 20 % stronger. Hope this pic shows the difference. 9 inch is on the left, the main difference is where the inside bearing rides It's about 1/4 thicker on the 10.
