I need a set of retarder springs for the bucket seats in a 1965 Dodge Dart GT. This spring fits over the pivot pin that attaches the seat back to the base. I’ll take used, new, a source, etc. Pictures and Mopar part number attached. Thanks.

It appears that there are four, total. I have one, so three would be good, or whatever anyone has. Thanks.

That’s interesting. Both my coupe and my convertible have two per seat. All of them were broken on my coupe and the convertible lost two at the upholstery shop.

Agree, last time I had seats reupholstered I picked up my springs off their shop floor. They weren't even aware of them. As far as number I can't say I know absolutely, rather reported my experiences.

I didn’t know what they were. They aren’t easy to see, and the plastic boot holds them in until they are upside down. I had to pry the broken ones from my coupe out. I was looking for some other information and found them by accident in the FSM. It’s one of those things that you wouldn’t know about unless you’d had on e apart, and maybe not even then. There is a small bolt that goes in underneath them from the bottom of the seat frame . I have no idea why it is there unless it is some kind of stop for the spring. You can see it in the FSM diagram in my first post. They call it a “lock screw.” They also show that the pivot bolt is two pieces that screw into each other. On my cars it’s a pin with a plated cap and it’s held in place by a metal cap with “teeth” that drives on it for assembly and pries off to come apart. I’m afraid it’s a one or two shot part, and god knows where you find another one.
