Building a early Cuda.

I am a high school student and I ran into a good sum of money and I have dreamed of having a 1965 or 66' Barracuda. I have looked at a couple rollers, I need to find one that has good body, and soild interior. I am mostly wondering if anyone has ever 360 swapped one..? I am thinking 360 stroked to a 408 and a blower.. I have found the crate motor and blower I just wanna see if it has even been done.... Thanks!:cheers:

It's done on a regular basis. Do a search and there is plenty of info. If you have any specific questions there is a wealth of knowledge right here on FABO. If you start with a 273 car you will save the issue of rounding up a dropped center link for the steering. (some have just raised the engine a bit to clear succesfully) If the 273 is in it you will reduce the pulley and bracket matching as well. 273 or six, either way it's a pretty easy swap. Do it! And don't forget to keep the pictures posted!!!!

mine is a 360 now, the second one the car has seen since the 273 was pulled
well over 20 years ago.

Swapped a Slant to a 360 in a 64 Dart, pretty easy and straightforward especially for a beginner. Ask plenty of questions and since you say you are financially able to have a project, spend wisely so that you can do it right the first time, will save money and headaches in the long run.

just wondering if you have any idea how much it takes to buld what your thinking of,,,,, I was like you in high school wanting a wild early barracuda,,,the hemi under glass car did it for me,,but it took many years later and a ton of money to make it happen,,, ive owned this car for over 28 years now,,,
