Need advice please, I have a bolt that is striped out and will not tighten up where the bumper support bolts to the frame.

Should i try Helicoil, Time-Sert, or drill all the way through and bolt and nut it??

Thanks for your time..

You could try a metric bolt "slightly" larger. If the threads are trashed anyway it's not going to hurt.

Can you get it apart? Are the threads better out towards the end? Add washers?

I'm guessing the nut in the frame rail is stripped. If the original bolt is removed, there is a nut made on in rectangular block of steel that is used installing trailer hitches. This nut has a long wire tether welded on so you can fish in behind blind hoes. That type nut and approx' 1/2 inch longer than OEM bolt should work for you.
