Since when? Maybe Im just not aware of it,but Im not importing vintage stuff. Im bringing in hi perf stuff,which Im sure they would just love to bann.

But refresh my memory here...In the last three years, how many Canadian teams have won the Stanley Cup???
 
shouldnt the question really be;how many candian players are there on those US teams,lol...
 

Shipping is always rough-no matter where it goes.Lots of times it breakes the deal.I have three shipping tickets that the parts were lost/maimed/stolen or just into oblivion.I just know that if Dudley Doright and Nell was still on the job-there would be NO problems!!!
 
......I believe Montreal Canadiens have more than double [23] than Detroit,........ USPS is the only way 2 go.......604 is rite.......we just never think of telling the border crossing flunkies that these parts r 4 our 1960s-70 antique vehicals.........even if its brand new parts etc they r exempt from duties, i'm not positive about taxes though.........u may need to show proof of a vintage registration, idk.........and if u put a higher $ value on a part that u send up here we will pay extra $s, so ur not doing us any favors.......kim.......

So If it is insured for 100 you have to pay on 100? That doesn't apply to USPS?

Paul I have been bringing new & used parts for years across customs and have yet to pay any $$$. A couple months ago I walked across the border to my shipper picked up a new part worth about $150.00 stayed about 10 minutes, all Canada customs did was look up the ebay auction (to see if I was bsing about the price) and said see you later:scratch:
 
So what do they do if you come from Canada to US or vice versa with parts to sell at a swap meet? There is no guarantee that you will sell them, so how can they charge duties on them?
 
Still nobody has answered my question on how many Canadian teams have won the Stanley Cup in the last three years???
 
While I was selling my hood scoop templates I had a few Canadians call on them. It was an extra $20 to send a carboard tube weighing less than a pound via USPS. I couldn't believe the price to send a piece of paper so I dropped the price of the template for them and had them just pay $10 for shipping. I would hate to have to pay extra costs but I haven't had to deal with this in the years I have been building and restoring cars. At least I haven't had to pay extra fees when buying stuff. It may have been in the shipping costs but nothing drastic. It's costing you guys twice as much as it does me to build. So if I can give another car enthusist a break every once in a while oh well. I believe in helping a man out when ever I can. When I travel around the world and see an American Muscel car cruising down the street it's nice to see a piece of home there. Most of the people that have them love to talk about their expereance while restoring or hot rodding it out. So kuddos to you all.

I did pay the extra on top of his shipping charge because he said it was out of his way and either UPS or FEDEX would come to his door for the pick up. I guess he was just lazy. Never again from this seller or any other, US or Canadian, that won't use the post office for small items.

USPS will come right to your house for a pick-up (I'm a part-time rural carrier and do it all the time).
 
the Team with the most Canadians beat the team with the second most Canadians and just as the team that wins the presidents cup has a horrendous record when it comes to winning the cup the team with the most Canadians usually wins the cup it's our game - deal with it .

There is a NAFTA exemption for "Antique Automobiles" { cars and their parts that are 30 yrs or older last time I checked I believe } nobody seems willing to fill out the required paperwork for a long distance deal or know how to even get the paperwork to fill out

Why can't you just face the fact that a Canadian team has not won the Stanley Cup for the last three years? Stand up, untwist your panties and sit back down....There, that is better...Settle down...Everything is going to be ok....

It was the Canadians that brought up how much better at hockey they were than us. I'm just pointing out recent past Stanley Cup champions.
The statistics have been brought up that there are mostly Canadians in the NHL. This can also mean that most teams are dominated by Canadians, including Canadian teams. So you may say that one team dominated by Canadians beat another team dominated by Canadians.

But when you look at the Olympics, usually the top three teams in the finals are Canada, Russia, and USA. Each player plays for his home country. This proves that the Russians and Americans can play head to head with the Canadians in hockey. Sometimes they win, sometimes they loose. But whoever wins did not do it easily, the game was not handed to them on a silver platter. They earned it by playing harder and better than the other teams. The loosing team put up a good fight and is respected by the winning team. Nobody walks away saying that the 2nd and 3rd place teams sucked. They are all great teams and the winners played better than them that year and deserved/earned the win.
 
We shall see about that stanley cup and where it resides...soon. All I can say is the Nucks have the best chance out of any Canadian team.And have a look at the history of the cup please. I think you will invalidate your own arguement by doing so. It has resided predominantly in CANADA!!
