The muffler has no effect on engine lope whatsoever. You are simply hearing the engine "more". That's all.

I just put new mufflers because had flowmasters that droned something aweful on hyway cruises. These quiet flows make some noise on street driving which I like but seem to quiet up a bunch over 60 mph.

Thank you. It also has an x-pipe installed by the previous owner which I will get rid of sooner than later. I think it will sound better without it. I much prefer the Cuda with the H-Pipe in that thread.
Man I have NEVER liked the sound of any type cross over. It kinda gives it a blahhhh sound and takes away some of the crispness, IMO. There are some real respected names who argue against any power additions, too. If you notice, the dyno results you see are usually from those sellin the dang things. lol
Yea I knew you were against the cross over setups on the exhaust as you posted that recently in another thread. I pay close attention to your posts.
