cam question

ive got a 67 440 block and cylinders head, block is bored 0.30 over heads are ported and polished and valve job done single plane high rise intake manifold, roller rockers, block decked and heads trued up. rotating assembly is balanced 750 cfm edelbrock carb if its big enough. i want to get a purple shaft P4120237 509 lift and 292 duration, is this cam to big ? ill have a 2200 to 2600 stall with probaly 3.73 posi rear end . or what suggestion do you guys have for this set up ?

It all sounds good to me. A street bound engine right? Cam & Carb size is fine.
 
If the static ratio is good enough (a true ratio of 10.5:1 or more) then make sure you degree it, and I'd run it 2° adavnced. But, if you want to get better than 70s technology, buy something much better. It will work, but there's better made and better designed out there.
 
im going to use pertronix igniter 2 ignition on it. i will definatly degree in the cam.
