Can Drill Bits Be Sharpened??

Can hardly believe what I am reading.

I bought a Drill Doctor when I first heard about them. Mine is the original model.
I love the device. Takes just a few seconds to sharpen the bit. It is fantastic.

I have even had to sharpen a bit 2 or 3 times when drilling thru a very hard material

Just asking, did you step-drill the part you were going thru?
If trying to run a 3/4" bit thru a small hole will burn it every time in steel.

Rani, when you're learning I found bits about 1/2" easiest to get correct. Once you get those to come out OK you can progress to smaller and larger bits. If you can find an old guy who has beeen sharpening bits for years who would be willing to show you the
learning process will be a lot faster.
