Can I use the slant 6 throttle cable on my 318?

71' Duster, Edelbrock carb on a Performer intake.. Can I use that cable, or have to get a Lokar (or a different brand)

Will the slant 6 cable be adequate? I remember someone telling me it doesn't pull enough or move enough or something along those lines...

i used it but had to fab my own bracket so that it would have enough pull. it didnt look very appealing but it worked. imo it would be better astetics wise and simplisity wise to get a cable kit and set it up rite.

Yeah, I should probably just buy a new cable... I'm just so close to running! Getting too excited!
