I did not try yet. I asked as did not want to remove the six pack set up to see. I have the brackets from my 1971 Challenger. And the 1973 Dart Sport. The brackets I have are all triple plated. And in deep storage. They worked with my old 1980's Performor I had ported. It did not have offset. Thus me thinking I could just use a LD340.I know a top mount compressor with a sanden compressor will interfere unless the manifold has an offset mount thermostat housing, aka edelbrock performer, torker 2/340, factory. I don't think the ld340 thermostat is offset mounted.
They make a sanden shorty compressor that will not interfere, but the connections on the compressor differ and will require changing out the two lines. Not sure about the depth of the RV2 compressor.
Bouchillons Performance sells the shorty compressor, the lines, and the brackets.
a lot of the aftermarket intakes don't have provisions for mounting the support strut(s) for OE AC bracketry.I can’t be certain, what’s the issue? The height of the runners hitting the back of the compressor? Otherwise the front portion of the intake looks near the same to me?
These are the brackets required for factory a/c install. I think they are also on the classifieds.
I thought there was a rear support on the back of compressor that bolted to intake. So there was a boss. I did not see it on here. Might be an E Body thing? I have the E and A body A/C compressor both at same place. I will have to compare them and see. Don't want a rattle trap if and when I do it.a lot of the aftermarket intakes don't have provisions for mounting the support strut(s) for OE AC bracketry.
