take carfax with a grain of salt. i sold a pt crusier that my son erased the front end off of it. it was repaired with insurance, it never showed up on carfax. i did inform the person that i sold it to about the accident. it will give you a good history where it has been. but you will still need to have the car checked out up close.

Adam, I used autocheck when I was car shopping. I like the report alot better than carfax. More detailed and easyier to read. It is $20 for a one time use and $30 for 60 days, but worth the money if your used car shopping.

car faxes are only good if repairers are dun at a dealer or if the parts came from there.if it was recked and had all used parts put on it to where no vehicle id.was called in.it wont show on a car fax. If this makes sence. I'm not to good at explaining things.

This is for a car Im selling for my father in-law. Im alittle curious about it. Its a 2000 Honda civic SI, but its missing the DOHC engine and the rest of the parts that make it an SI. I'm wondering if its a theft recovery.

Car fax is showing 8 reports.

I had a 91 Z28 that had a radiator support, driver side appron and frame rail replaced that didnt show on CarFax so I know everything doesnt show.
