OK, so I have a 1974 duster with a 340. Its equipped with a road demon 725. The carb was running fine and dandy I decided to rebuild it because I thought it was the cause of a fault my duster was having. I rebuilt the carb on my down time and hooked it back up now I'm having issues. The fuel pump is working and I can hear the actual pump working. It has the fuel pressure gauge set at the proper pressure. I see fuel in the bowls. The issue is it does not let fuel out the venturi when I initially apply pressure to the throttle/idle linkage spring. I can spray starter fluid inside the carb and it starts fine and will slowly leak fuel out the venturi after it starts. Before I rebuilt the carb it would spray gas out the venturi just by me pressing on the throttle/idle linkage with my hand. What do people suspect to be the issue. THANKS!!!!!!

This sounds like the check valve went missing, from under the accelerator pump nozzle, during the rebuild.

Sounds like you used the incorrect float bowl gasket. The wrong one will just make the pump squirt fuel right back into the float bowl, instead of through the squirter.
