I am almost finished rebuilding my heater box. I was wondering what is good to use to replace the cardboard backing and where to get it? (see pic)

If I was going to use mine over again I was going to cut a piece of say 24ga sheet metal and use the same clips. I decided to go with classic air. Its a simple shape and a single bend, sheet metal will last forever. you can pick up a small sheet at home depot.

Yep, call Jim and he will take care of you. I got all my heater box items and
firewall seals from him. nice stuff.

Not too bad. Take some pics before you take it apart.

I got the gasket kit from DMT. Good stuff. I didn't realize they had the backing also. Thanks.
