I bought new carpet from Summit in about 2008, I think it was ACC carpet but the box is long gone. I am finally getting around to putting it in now. Will the carpet lose its shape over time if you don't install it? The carpet is supposed to be pre formed but it has almost no shape, really sucks to put in and doesn't look very good.

Generally it will regain shape. Suggest laying in carpet as intended. Put weight on corners, joints. Then expose area to a heat lamp. Since you'll probably do one side at time, when comes to doing the other side, leave the weights on the first side. Find another set for the second side.

Remember it's not set in stone until you start poking holes in the carpet for seat belts, shifter boot, high beam switch, etc.

Follow 2 dart's advice above. :sign3:

Use an old soldering iron with a bad tip from below to burn holes for the seat belts and seats through the carpet. Much easier than cutting with a utility knife... :violent1:

And does the carpet match the drapes??? :toothy1:
