Does anyone have a list of the carter AVS CFM ratings that would have the carb numbers, along with the primary sizes & secondary sizes ?
Something to keep in mind about "numbers." I believe Holley published numbers "dry" and Carter published "wet" which means that a "given number" between the two brands means that Carters acually flow more than Holley
Also, remember that even Holley is not consistent. Holley 2bbl carbs are rated at (I forget) I think 3" Hg vacuum, 4 bbls at 1.5 Hg. This means the (in) famous Holley 500cfm 2bbls "aren't" 500 cfm, that is. More like 350 compared to a 4 bbl.
OK, lets try this a different way. What would be the smallest AVS ? Would it have been on a 340/ or a 383 ???
Or for that matter what about the smallest AFB. probably on a 273 ???
