Carter/Edelbrock rebuld kits

Does anyone know if a rebuild kit for a Edelbrock 600 is the same as the kit for a Carter competition series 600 ?

What about the calibration kits ?

There the same. At best, the difference is in the needle and seat/seal components that are made of different material over the years. From rubber to neoprene (sp) etc..

The basic design in the carb was not messed with as far as I have seen. On these carbs, parts is parts to a large degree dispite what Edelbrock says, "Use our kits only."

The gaskets for a 9636 AFB and a 1406 Eddy will be the same. Rods, jets and needle/seats will interchange. Part #s for jets and rods will be different, but there should be no problem using Eddy jets in an AFB.
