This is my cat Stripey. He slept on my legs in bed every night for fifteen years. He went to heaven last Christmas. Putting him to sleep was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. In that time I went through four homes, twenty cars, five jobs, four bankruptcies, and eight girlfriends. Through all the hardships and good times, he was the only constant in my life. It may sound crazy, but I can honestly say that without him, I wouldn't be here today.
I never want to feel loss like that again; but I've realized that the more you hurt when your pet goes to heaven, that means the more you loved them. There are alot of cats out there that need a loving home, and I'm willing to hurt more in the future, so another cat can have a wonderful life.

I have posted pictures of mine here before.
Our final arrangements have all been set.
Highly unlikely I out live him. He is 8 and I'm 72.
My son has three of his siblings and will care for him till his time comes.
Our ashes will then be sent into the cosmos for eternity.

My poor little guy keeps biting his rear leg for some reason. We’ve taken him into the vet and they say it’s just an irritation. Vets don’t do much anymore. So we got him a cone, he sleeps with me all night.

Make sure to fasten the top of the cat tree somehow for stability. Those things are known to tip over and hurt pets sometimes.

Thanks for sharing all the cat pictures. since putting our girl down in March, we see bits of her in others here...especially the all black ones which she was. wasn't going to get another cat because of out age but if we got an older one? time will tell. strange, times I'm alone, I still hear what sounds like her walking on paper or quiet meows.

I’m the same way, there’s times that I hear my dogs running around barking.
