Center cap 18 mustang wheel

I have set of 18 in. Mustang wheels on my 71 Scamp, but the center caps won't stay or fit the front.

Let's me guess, interference with the hub dust cover? Not many choices. Use the search function here, you'll get some ideas. 2.5 inch chain link fence caps is most common.
