This is true if 'tuning' only involved the AFR. But timing effects and heat range matter too. So checking plugs is still something that needs to be done on a modified motor. Not just for performance, but longevity - who wants to keep swapping fouled or burnt out plugs every few hundred miles?

Unless one gets very lucky, still going to have to pull them repeatedly to dial in the timing and the interaction of the timing and the AFR ;)

Just pointing out that it takes looking at all variables and all indications to tweak it down to "perfect".

As far as the plug reading chart:thumbsup::thumbsup: . That is the first chart that shows how to read the plug at something other than W.O.T. I LIKE IT!
