Clamps and welding where?

I've ordered a mandrel bend builders kit and I'm going to try my hand at building an exhaust on my D100 440 project. Should I use ban/U clamps in a particular place or can I just weld everything?

I welded everything on mine except the mufflers that way I could replace them without cutting if I want to. For those I used u-bolts.

Welding will work fine.

Think about where it may need to come apart to get worked on.
If you go over the axle you cant slide the pipes back.

Just make sure it's not trapped if you weld it all.

That's a great point. I've never seen a tail pipe (in a mopar) that wouldn't come out with the body jacked up and the axle all the way down.
