Hey everyone,
We wanted to jump in and offer some context around shipping, since it’s an understandable and recurring concern.
Shipping costs today are genuinely high across the board. Carrier rates from UPS, FedEx, and USPS have risen significantly over the past several years, and those increases affect every business that ships physical products. Unfortunately, those carrier rates are something we can’t control.
Beyond the carrier charges, shipping also includes packaging and handling (boxes, protective materials, reinforced tape, and labor,) all of which are necessary to make sure parts arrive safely and undamaged. Cutting corners there usually leads to damaged shipments, delays, and frustration for customers, which we work hard to avoid.
Importantly, shipping and handling is not a profit center for us. In many cases, when rates are underestimated by our system, we actually lose money on shipping and absorb the difference rather than pass it along.
We do try to offset shipping costs when we can by offering free-shipping promotions (for example, Free Shipping on Orders Over $199) as well as regular discount offers. Our customer service team also has the ability to review and adjust shipping charges when something doesn’t look right, either before or after an order ships.
We understand shipping can be frustrating; as enthusiasts and consumers, we feel it too. And we genuinely appreciate the feedback. Our goal is always to deliver parts safely, fairly, and as affordably as possible, while continuing to improve where we can.
