Need to install a new clutch and pressure plate. Have a leaky seal on gear box. Haven't pulled apart yet cause I thought it would be nice to have replacement parts ready to install. Looking up what is available I am not sure of the size clutch I need. They show 10.5", 10.95", 11". Do any of the Guro's out there have a '69 Dart GTS 383 four speed? Looking for some gripping advice. Signed slipping away.

AFAIK, the seals in the retainer on the 1X23 input shaft are all the same.
Only the big-boy hemi-boxs are different.

But I just gotta say, those seals almost never wear out.
I've been running A833s since 1970, and I cannot recall ever changing one.

But I have changed a broke retainer, lol, cracked in the seal-area.

My opinion is the car is 50+ years old. Who knows what could be in there.
I’d pull it apart and order a replacement.
It could have a flywheel that dictates what you need for a disk.
As for the seal leaking- it is possible but I’d check the input bearing also for play if you are going that deep. Also, after 50 + years who knows what is in there for fluid.

Assuming it has the original parts in the car, it came from Chrysler with 10.5" x 23 spline. You could also use the 10.95" style cover as it has the same 11.625" bolt pattern.

The other issue is, someone may have put one of those DAMNED "scalloped" pressure plate setups in there. These were a special clutch used on the 440's (and I don't know what else) where a specially built pp with a 10 1/2" bolt pattern had a something like 10 7/8 disc swapped in. Huge PITA because the clutch material "fuzz" could cause drag / no clean release. If you have one get rid of it. You can replace it with a good high performance 10 1/2" setup. Read this:
