I have a 360 that I built 4 months ago and when I ordered the flywheel it was huge and like 40lbs. I mounted it and it fit fine till I mounted the clutch and the bolt holes didn't line up. So I kept the flywheel from my 318 an bolted it all up and it fit fine. Now my 3rd gear is slipping. Do you think it is because the clutch size? What are the differences between the 10.4, 10.5 and 11 inch clutch sets and what did they go on? Also about the styles of clutch's. What are the differences and applications for borg beck and diaphram type's?

Is it because of the size, I doubt it seriously, what I am amazed at is that you still have a running engine:-0 The 360 is externaly balanced via the flywheel and IS NOT interchangable between the 360 and the 318/340's unless you have had the engine balanced internaly. What you may well have could be the first signs of the damage it is doing IE the rear main seal may now be leaking and getting oil in/on to the clutch. The reason the bolt holes didn't line up is you had the wrong size pressure plate assembly for the 360 flywheel. I'll sell ya a BRAND NEW clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, throwout bearing for a 360, I have all brand new and ended up putting an auto behind my 360. Of course that would only do you good as long as you havent already done permanent damage to your engine.

On Summit thet have a MP flywheel that fits about 10 different motors. It is a 10.5" flywheel part #DCC-4529142
