You've obviously not bothered to actually read my posts.
Nothing of relevance?

Same.
Same.
If the thread should "evolve" beyond the question at hand, there'd be no need for more than one thread on the entire site. So let's talk redheads vs brunettes or lagers vs pilsners...
Kettle got left burning on the stove.

I've actually had zero to drink since a bit before the election. I don't know why. I just don't want to.I gave that up in 1993.
I prefer whisky.
Gave that up in 1993 too. I was younger back then.
You gonna send my your address or keep blabbin? My bad. I did read that. I should have said relevant to the conversation one it evolved.
I hope that clears it up for you.
Doesn't matter, it wasn't even the topic of this thread.
The OP was curious about what he thought was excessive heat in the coil of his street cruiser. Some suggestions were made about a possible mismatch in Ohm ratings/requirements of the components that were in use.
Then a comment was made about redoing his entire ignition with an HEI module and Ford E-coils triggered by the Chryco distributor.
After that nobody bothered reading any of the posts and it turns into a pissing match about HEI high RPM capability, HEI advance mechanisms (which NOBODY ever suggested using an HEI distributor, only the module), and 800 HP Chevy smallblocks with a 300 shot at gawd knows what rpms.
After the first page there's absolutely nothing of value to the OP; and we're now at 5 pages and counting of stuff irrelevant to the subject and just devolving into children calling each other names and throwing insults.
How useful.
If any "guests" (that aren't web robots) are actually viewing this thread, they're probably just shaking their heads and moving on to somewhere else.
If you want to express professional opinions, act like professionals. And keep it on point.
Then I won't have to pretend I'm your Mommy. Not my job.
Now you can all gang up on me for saying I'm sick of this ****. Start your own thread to berate each other in, about whatever topic you like.
Like my comment about the 800hp Chebby?I also can’t find where you said a WORD to Bewy about his garbage posts that had nothing to do with the OP.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
More and more guests dropping in wanting to learn > way more visitors than FABO members that's for sure, World Wide.

I also can't find a single time I directed ANYTHING at you in particular or mentioned you by name, you just assumed it was all aimed at you.

Never said I posted the 800 hp chevy- I said I commented on it.You didn’t post that.

Okay- 'Nuff said.I probably should stop quoting the last post in the thread.
It appears that causes massive confusion and way too many Hmmmmmmmmmmm’s.

I asked Rick Ehrenberg (sp?), the maker of the Hi Rev 7000, and he said that prolonged low RPM is not an issue with his box. But....He is selling, and the coil is really hot. Makes me wonder. Thanks for the suggestions.
you sure you know how to wire it in? We heard it was your forte….For the record, none of the ignition boxes get too hot for continued use.
The car I have now had a gold box on it when my cousin bought it. It was more street than strip and it never had an issue.
The dude he bought the car from bought the box in 1989 and drove the crap out of it until my cousin bought it in 2001.
The ONLY reason it came off was because he wanted a rev limiter.
Guys run MSD 7 boxes on the street. I have quite a few Mallory 7 boxes running on the street. Analog and digital.
In fact, I’m going to help hook one up on Sunday. It’s mostly a street car.

Check your PMs ya 'tard.Lol I’m semi retarded. That’s why I ran a mag for years and MFI.
I knew the mag wouldn’t fail and the mechanical pump wouldn’t quit unless the belt failed.
Back then you couldn’t buy a reliable electric pump and I still don’t trust ANY battery fired ignition any further than I can poop it out my rear end.
I use them. They aren’t failing, but I don’t trust them.
It’s like dating a stripper. Hot rod around a bit and then drive off.
When they break down it’s miserable.
No offense to strippers, battery fired ignitions and poop.
Turk,
You are getting worse...
Letting 'hate' get in the way of reason.
And now for the fourth time: what does the 3 amps refer to in a '3 amp magneto '. You say you KNOW. Well, tell us! does it mean the mag generates 3 amps of current in the primary winding? There is 3 amps in the spark current?
Fact is you haven't got a clue....& haven't got a clue about many other things. When your BS.....is shown to be BS, you resort to name calling & denigration. A real hero...
