Need help with coil resistance. Have a 65 barracuda slant six car that i believe has been converted to a electronic ignition. It still has resister mounted and wired up on fire wall the resistance on it is around 1.9 ohms unwired. The coil has 2.2 ohms resistance unwired is this the correct resistance on the coil or should it be lower. It also has a orange control box

The coil resistance is within tolerance called for, the book says 1.6 to 1.79 for Prestolite coil. The ballast resistor calls for .5-.6 ohms and other side 4.7-5.7 and this is with everything out of the circuit. I checked a spare coil I have and primary resistance was 5 ohms. So what's right?

I found this when I tested my coil. I believe it to be correct.

i thought when you still used your ballast resistor with a electronic conversion from points you used a lower resistance coil. When they converted this over from points i am thinking they did not change coil

You can find coil specs for several years by downloading the service manuals from MyMopar "That's assuming" none of those are misprints
