Welcome aboard
Looking forward to seeing your March posts in 2018 because that may be the time some of us will need an upgrade on our radiators :drama: .. one year builds turn in to a two year :D

True! If you can PM me the specs of your radiator, I can shoot you a special member price that should make up for the exchange rate. I need the motor size and hp, AT or MT overall rad height with tanks, overall width without brackets, inlet and outlet position and whether you plan on using our electric fan kits or if you want to use your original fan shroud and mechanical fan.

thanks for considering Cold Case!

Chris

And Yet no pictures, No answer on why design in US but built in another country. Some of the best TIG welders are right here in the USA not overseas in sweatshops working for peanuts.
I just read thru the entire thread. Question upon question has not been answered- if so it was a direct PM instead of here where it would do more good.
It appears to me that you are just a salesman or pitchman with a captive audience.

In the market for a BB Rad for my modified 69' Cuda which is what brought me here to see what Fabo Vendors might have.

Jeeez,
Reading thru the comments... Tuff Crowd..Lol

Whenever a new brand or new advertiser comes around these type of forums, many greet it with skepticism and a sense that we better 'earn our way into the club' mentality.

I think we've done that and more.

the negative comments are pretty old. Read through the topics of owners that are now using our products since the negative feedback. You'll see a completely different story.

I went to your site as I will be shopping for a better radiator in the near future. I saw nothing for early (63-66) A bodies. Do you not offer something?

i feel cheated,i thought i purchased a rad.made in the usa.wow
Not sure why you'd feel cheated. And I'll answer the other related questions all in one post here;

1. We have a 100% no questions warranty. You can get a full refund.

2. We have been totally open about our company. We are an American Company that employs almost 50 American's. We wanted to fill a void in the market for a super high quality performance radiator at a very reasonable price. We're 40% less than the companies that 'weld theirs in the USA'. And by the way, even those companies are many times sourcing the cores, tanks and brackets outside the USA. So does that make those radiator American made because they are assembled here? Did you all know that your brand new American car or truck has 100's of foreign parts in it? Did you know that about 75% of the reproductions for your Mopar are made overseas?

Look, this would be a very good philosophical debate for all of us. But neither of us are in the debating business Lol! and you guys are just looking to build and drive a nice classic! Some of you don't have unlimited budgets. We're in the business of making really good radiators for a very good price. If you feel that you need to spend 40% more to know the radiator your bought was assembled in the USA, then that's what you should do! I certainly can't fault you for that. But I do find it a little abrasive that you might think we are somehow less American for the way we run Cold Case.

I've always considered Canada & the US like brother & sister. It's nice to buy homegrown, but at what point should cost become a determining factor. If you want it cheap, Canadian or American made is usually out of the question. (our labor rates are too high) We expect to be paid top dollar, but we also expect to pay as little as possible for what we buy. Why do you think that so many American & Canadian companies have moved production offshore.

Milwaukee tools used to pride themselves as an All-American company. Now in order to remain competitive the majority of their production is offshore.

Are you prepared to pay double or more for your restoration parts. If you can afford it, all the more power to you. I & most others can't, so the parts are coming from overseas.

I used to work retail. I remember one day many years ago, a customer came & asked if we had any lumberjack shirts. I directed her to where they were. She came back complaining they were made in Korea. Did we not have any Canadian made ones. I showed her where they were. She took one look & said, "That's more than double the price of the other one" No amount of explaining could make her understand why. She left mad & emptyhanded.

I really appreciate your interest in our products.

The lack of pre-66 models is strictly a function of research. We are still gathering information to be able to list these pre 66 models on our website but we believe we already have 22" models that may fit your car. We would just need to get the dimensions and some hole spacing measurements of your original rad.
Pics are always a help. If interested, e-mail is [email protected]

Looking for a radiator for my 73 Valiant with a 318, searched Plymouth Valiant on the website and the cut off year on the ones you have is 1972?
Are 72 radiators different than 73?

I guess this was meant to answer my question too?

Most of the early mopar radiators prior to 66 didn't have shrouds. They were mostly 22" as well. So if you are not going for originality, we normally have one that will fit your car with possibility of needing hole modifications in the radiator. So yes, if we had some measurements, that would be a big help for both of us. :)

Hi Chris :D

As a very long-term member and fellow Vendor on Joey's forums, I suggest starting a new thread but post it outside of your own forum. Put it in the General Discussion, Tech and Racer's section. Announce your R&D needs for every model you're planning on adding to your inventory eventually.

Those very same people you're trying to serve will go out of their way to help you with measurements, pictures, and even take the time to draw diagrams for you ... because you'll ultimately be helping them as well as our entire hobby / industry.

Over a hundred thousand devoted members worldwide, all eager for what you're offering, will also be the first to tell you what they need and want. You just have to ask them somewhere that they'll see it, and then take note of the responses.

If you're clear in your announcement, everyone reading it will know they won't be getting welded up tomorrow. But together we can all ensure the ones we need for our old cars may be there some tomorrow.

FABO members have chosen my shop's posters, t-shirt design, and the shape of my "Hand Job" Soap Customer Appreciation Gift. One wonderful guy madmikee even devoted his personal time to surprise me with the logo I still use today.

They're your best resource, and almost a captive audience. Tap into it.

And when someone's valuable input launches your new line of 1965 A Body rads, tag the person who helped. It's not only a great reason to bump your R&D thread for more views/input (with a link to the new radiator post) but builds goodwill and friendships to last a lifetime. You might even be able to work it into your banner ad, though they're often ignored.

Just a suggestion from the cheap seats. Best of luck for every success!

I can give you any measurements you like. Mine is a 64 Valiant with the 170. Right now, I have a 3 row aluminum radiator in it simply because I found it on eBay in a scratch and dent sale for 79 bucks. I would like to eventually swap it for a two row with as wide a flue as possible. 1.5" maybe? I am wanting to gain a little more room between the fan and radiator, plus the large flue two row might cool a little better.....not that it runs anywhere near hot now.

But would this void the warranty, if something like a leaky weld or tube was discovered after being put into use?
Thanks

No, our warranty is not voided as long as the modification didn't create the problem.

I'm a little late to the party, I came in to post about my positive experience with a radiator I bought.

But right out of the gate, I want to say I'm ******* baffled by the way some people are acting here. We all want America, and Americans, to prosper, but the fact of the matter is most of the people who are all ruffled up about parts sourced overseas simply won't buy when they see the price for what a designed, sourced and built in America part costs. I work in a niche aerospace support field, and we won't even use material from outside the US to make our products, and you can be sure that cost is passed onto our customers. We had a unit that cost the customer as much for us to overhaul last year as it did for them to buy it new 8 years ago, and that cost goes up every year. They literally said to us "I think you might have misplaced a decimal or something" when they got the quote. My point is, get a grip. Buy what is in your budget, but the level of vitriol I'm seeing is insane.

Now, onto the good part of this. I had a factory AC 340 radiator that I had rodded out a year or two back, core looked good it just had some blockages I wanted cleared out. It tried it's hardest, but it wasn't up for the task of the stroker motor I built. Temps were fine when moving, but when stationary it would continue to creep until I was moving again.

I talked to Cas ( I think, terrible with names) from CC and after a bit of back and fourth decided that sticking with the 22" would create the least issues for my existing trans cooler lines. They sent me out the MOP755A and it fit perfectly, bolted right in with no issues. I've had it running for a few months now, and besides a slight drip of trans fluid from a fitting I left loose it's been perfect. Temps are great, it will sit and cycle between 180 when the thermostat opens and 185 where the fan turns on.

I'm super happy with my purchase and I think anyone that gave them a shot would be just as happy.
