Console Carpet Question

I'm currently restoring my console and wondered if anyone has used the two sided Gorilla carpet tape to affix the carpet to the side of the coffin console, if so, are you pleased with result?

On my 4-sp console I used some glue and some velcro.

Yes, like Murray I used velcro with 3m adhesive. That way carpet can be removed if need be. Also used velcro on door cards, 67 cuda.

I used industrial velcro as recommended by @4spdragtop. It worked perfectly. If you go to the thread "1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?" I answered this question for him with step by step pictures. It is post#360 on the 15th page of that thread.
