Where is the best place to buy the console carpet kit for a 71 auto console? Most of them appear to be one piece, but Classic Industries is two pieces. Looking for best fit.

I ordered mine from year one and it was one piece. Very nice quality and it was quite simple to install
Mine from TrimParts, one piece fit fine. This narrow strip of carpet is cut on a bias so it turns corners. If you were to lay it out flat, upside down, and square the weave you would see a good 3 feet of width was used. That's why it cost so much and that's why it would cost less to cut it in multiple pieces.

Is the console carpet for a auto the same as for a 4speed

Should be the same.
It'll be bigger for the 4spd due to the hump near the drivers right leg.
