I have a fairly complex question: I have a 1965 Barracuda, was a disk car. Bought a full set of 66 disk brakes from a Valiant, minus the UCA's. I then bought a set of UCA's off the Internetz, supposed to fit. Turns out they are most likely from a 73 or later 10 inch disk car, so the ball joints are massive, don't match to the spindles. Likewise, in my parts bin, I have the ball joints that fit the spindles, but they are too small to fit the UCA's.

Any fixes? My UCA's are refinished and have everything replaced, don't want to have to re-build another set.

May be screwed, let me know...

I see it as 3 choices: Find a set of small ball joints UCA's that someone's selling/giving away and rebuild as necessary; #2 If what's on your 65 now is the small ball joint UCA, remove and rebuild as necessary to use the 66 disc brakes; #3 locate a set of 73-76 disc brake stuff to use the large ball joint UCA you've already rebuilt. If there are any other choices, I'm sure someone will chime in.

Build the UCA's from your '65 Barracuda and sell the '73-6 UCA's to recoupe your costs.

I have a pair of small ball joint upper control arms, 1965 A body. Cleaned and painted but no bushings, but has tight ball joints. Not in bad shape. $50 including shipping. PM me if you are interested. Musclecar.
