Just a fun read.....

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. It was a fun article. Oh to be young again and own a Barracuda. My cousin had a 65 back when. He wasn't a motorhead like I was and those are usually the ones that get the fun cars. Jim's was black with a gold stripe. Originally a 273/4 speed car but the 273 died and someone put in a 318. We would do burnouts on a paved bridge on the gravel road he lived on. I didn't have my license yet but could power shift a pretty mean 2nd. gear. A skill that my cousin never could master. The Inland shifter was like a baseball bat in a bucket. I never tried forcing 3rd. Thanks for the memory!

Great story! Thanks for sharing.

My fondest memory like that happened in a 1969 Chevy van! An event I'll never forget.

I have a 66 Slant on the way from CA., to Wis, suppose to be here Wednesday. I'm kind of excited. I remember camping in a 65, or 66 while in the Navy stationed at NAS Boca-Chica, in Key West. My buddy had one. We use to do alot of fishing up, and down the keys.
