Coolest Car Movies

-
There was an awesome 70's made for tv cop movie with Angie Dickinson. I don't know if it was related to the Police Woman series or not. She was after a freeway killer called "The Fiddler" who listened to extreme bluegrass music while killing innocents with his souped up Dodge Tradesman Van. He drove with the engine cover off and they loved showing the totally decked out Smallblock. She got him in the end.

Did anyone mention DUEL?
And the TV show Hunter had scads of MOPARS

I just watched a behind-the-scenes video regarding "The French Connection" , and its car-chases-train scenes .
It appears that the late , great Bill Hickman proceeded to drive that 1971 LeMans at a sustained 90 MPH for 26 blocks , completely without any permission or clearance ; just outright illegally flogged the car with the cameraman sitting in the back seat , and the film's producer (?) wrapped in a mattress sitting shotgun !

Yes the greatest chase scene ever! because of the fact that it was done "on the fly" without traffic being blocked off. The crashes in that scene are real with unfortunate motorists being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope they bought the guy in the white ford (that T bones Gene Hackman) a new car afterwards.
And yes doing 90 mph without traffic blocked off for 26 blocks down Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn was insane!
