I've seen 340's in turquoise and in orange. So which is factory correct?

Some say the very early production '69s could have been red, too- as they used up leftover '68 inventory...

but haven't seen it myself.

According to Galen's book, 69 dodge 340's were blue and Plymouth 340's turquoise. Never had a 69.

I bought a very-slightly used '69 Swinger 340 in November 1969 and the engine was turquoise. I never particularly liked the color.

I have a picture of the engine in my '69 Dart Swinger 340, from back then, it's not blue Galen. Turquoise. I worked at a Dodge dealership then, never saw a blue 340.
That '67 car in primer is one of the 50 factory cars, originally Ferris Motors from Savanna, IL.

My brand new 69 cuda 340 and my present 69 cuda 340 (2-26-69) -Turquoise. I've seen one cuda 69 340 Blue motor with a/c and a dealer installed sun roof which was for sale 12 years ago in San Diego. I thought he was/is a member here. I've also seen a 2 or 3 red ones

Maybe the "Galen" blue is like the dodge "red" that looks orange (at least 54 years later)

Everyone I owned was turquoise and I couldn't even to begin to count them all. We have owned several since 1969 since . All of our 70's were orange.

The first two 69s I worked on were red and I was a little bit surprised when I started seeing that the normal color for 69 were blue/turquois. They were definately a different color (more blue) than the turquois used on big blocks.
