seems like it should be simple, but I am looking to buy a flywheel for my 77 318 so i can drop that in where my slant six is. I just want the most inexpensive one because it is only going to be temporary. Summit has a couple of them for $110 to $170 range, both 130 tooth, one says 10.5 inch, other doesn't mention diameter. when you hit the application tab, it says they don't fit. i didn't think they made that many different flywheels for just a neutral balanced 318.....am i good to go with either of those or what am i missing?
thanks for any help

I was going to use the 3 speed that is in the car until I can find an A833 for it if possible. I don't have a bell housing for it yet but was going to find a pass car sized one

My suggestion is to procure a bellhousing first(one that will fit the engine/trans/vehicle), then look for a flywheel that fits the vehicle application the bellhousing came from.

^^^^^^and just to throw another wrench into the works....if it's a 903 3 speed that you have now, forget about using it. Very weak transmission. Slant 6's blow them up. Get an 833 4 speed, or if you are set on a 3 speed, get an A230, or, a 745 if you're reasonably easy with it. The year and model car may play a part in that decision.....floor vs column shift, slip yoke or companion flange driveshaft, etc.

My end goal is to have the 833, so I guess I should find one and get a bell housing....it is for my 74 Duster, I thought I found an 833 somewhat local, but turned out to be overdrive one....
