Based on advice previous question I posted, I purchased "correct" bolt kit for my 340 manifolds.. There's one oddball bolt/nut circled. Not sure where to place it... Anyone know..??

Thanks..!

Assuming these are intake manifold bolts, I would say the odd one attaches to the driver's side for the throttle return spring bracket. Just a guess.

The manifolds I have are 71-73, I believe...and they do not use sleeves..
Okay, I wasn't exactly sure of the year of the changeover. Somewhere in that range! They were also used on the 360 for a few years after the 340 was discontinued.

The circled bolt attaches the upper part of the heat air stove for the left side B/C/E-body "log" style manifold:

The heated air stove for the A-body left upswept exhaust manifold attaches where shown with a similar bolt:
I believe that's for the later 340 D.S. manifold, retains the later style heat stove

The bolt though is different. It has a tall hex with a threaded hole for a bolt:

I don't have a loose bolt of this style to photograph separately.

The 1968-1970 340 exhaust manifold does not use the heated air stove. The later A-body 340 setup looks like this on my 1973 Twister, running a 360:

This is the set up that holds the lower heat shield on the 1972 340. I did not use the bolt/stud provided in the kit that you are asking about on my 72 demon.
