Watching counts customs today, as I'm sure you guys know it is a custom build shop in Las Vegas. There is a guy on there showing off his '71 duster with a 440 stuffed in it, of course he had to jump start it for the guys to hear it run. The shop is wanting to make him an offer on it, guy said he had to call his son as it's his baby. The car is multiple colors like tan, green, red primer, grey primer. Lol, the son told the dad on the phone no way it's for sale. Does that bad boy car belong to one of us here on the forum? Would love to hear about more of what went on as they always edit the show. I love the show, those guys seem to be fun, good natured genuine car guys.

I like the show too. Sometime if I make it to Vegas I'd like to drop in on them. Not always in agreement with their creativity, but I can respect it.

Was in the showroom, paintwork is awesome. Cant say much about the mechanical as there wasnt a thing with an open hood, except one of the counts cars in a casino. Should have kept the hood closed. Met the guys in the shop, but not Danny.definetly serious car guys.

Same day, Welderup- i was blown away by the attention to detail and all the perfect welds. Workmanship is second to none there. And they drive what they build. Met Steve Darnell, took a couple minutes for pictures and to say hi. Nice guy. Love the rat rod stuff.

Yeah, my wife and I have a plan that if we make it to Vegas we want to check out welderup, counts and of course the "world famous pawn shop". Not much into gambling at all, so we would be going just to check out the shops and restaurants, haha.

Because we are from manitoba, and our internal clocks are different, we would be out wandering at 5-6 am. Really enjoyed that time of day.

I certainly don't agree with all his build styles, but with his enthusiasm and passion for cars of all makes and models I think that is a big reason it's a cool show. I just wish there was more content showing the actual builds instead of just saying this is the rig we are doing, and a few antics from horny mike and then it's reveal to the customer. I like what they are doing. Just want more of the build too. I know the cars take months to do, and it's a 30 minute show with commercials. I think that's why I just gotta go see the shops in person.

I seem to remember a member of the form saying their car was on the show but the supposed owner was an actor and the deal was not real.

I used to live in Appalachia where a few reality tv shows were apparently filmed and I can tell you that about 99.9% of reality tv is actors and scripts. At least they are still showing cars at least :)

if I want to see REAL A body builds....I still enjoy FABO.

the TV builds all seem to be drama, grab *** and make believe.....just like the rest of the media.

Real builds....yes. I like to watch the shows, pick up some ideas. A custom shop close to me is getting an FBI enema for shitty business practices and some potential criminal DMV stuff. There are literally customers that drove their cars in there and now have no drivetrain. A truck from this place ended up at my buddy's sitting in a heap. Where it started....to where it is, one part at a time, far from perfect, but it's mine!

Stop it. If you're telling me turtle man was fake, I could not go on living.

Live action!

I had the pleasure of meeting the turtle man. He actually does catch turtles with his hands but that's nothing out of the ordinary for the crowd I run with sadly. I do believe some of the other animal encounters were set up.

Sounds like a good crowd to me bud. I'm an old Florida swamp rat.
Always got a chuckle out of Ernie and Neal. To bad they got PETA sticking their noses in their fun. That's what shut them down.
