Crane Gold roller rocker clearance

I have a set of 1.5 Crane Gold roller rockers. Does anyone know for sure what the max diameter on the retainer/spring can be before I have interference issues?

I'm getting things around to finish my heads and this came up today when discussing springs with the guy at Bullet cams.

Wish I had direct knowledge here Bruce, but I can't fathom how they wouldn't clear with anything close to the "stock" numbers in the 1.50"dia/1.65" inst. ht. area. That said, a larger spring or a "Eddy" style 1.80 installed height could certainly blow my theory out of the water.

I have 1.46 springs on our sbm with crane 1.5 or 1.6 rockers.

the problem i had with mine was wanting to fall off the back of the valve stem they didnt want to ride this way --- in the safe zone i had 557 lift with 1.6 crane gold like a 340 duration or something but had plenty of clearance RHS HEADS .i wish i woulda just went with the eddies i think 995-16 all comp cam and springs but we had spring clearance .

I emailed Crane, and they said 1.550 will clear. Perfect!
