Say what you want, but if I had had HAD to drive a Tesla, it would be a cyber truck

Sounds like the driver of that vehicle is just your typical leftist virtue signaler

No, it looks like the guy knows that those ugly "trucks" look dumb as ****. I'd rather take an Uber and I don't let other people drive me.

Not everyone that owns a Tesla does so to project any image of superiority or the like. Some people like them for whatever advantages they think they have as a car.
It isn't like the single women with a Subaru Wagon....EVERYONE suspects that they are lesbian vegan skanks.

Let's say that's that case, let's say he likes his Tesla because he's got a wierd thing for their nurses-from-silent-hill front fascia design...why go through all that trouble to let us know that truck isn't his?

He has got to have too much of a dependancy on what other people think of him

Speaking of Subarus...when did they get so popular?

I just got back from New England and I swear, I've seen twice as many subis as any other make

I am an avid fan of the internal combustion engine , however the more road tests etc that I watch with electric cars , the more I learn about them , the more respect I have for them (no I still don't want one) Look at the road tests that Jason Commisa does on You tube Right now the LUCID AIR sedan is the fastest production car EVER. The thing out accelerates EVERYTHING , leaves a Bugatti Veyron in the dust , not even close!!! It's amazing to watch , although disgusting if you like internal combustion cars. The end is near , all they really need to do is figure out how to get us on board.

meh, last week i drove from Podunk Maine to Buffallo New York
i left at about 8 AM, got there at about 9PM, just shy of 800 miles
(thats driving the truck, 3 stops for gas and food)
how long would it take a person driving an EV to do that?

I think I read where someone took their ev across the country. It took a month, and they spent more time charging than driving.

i dont doubt it

did i mention that when i started in Maine it was -2, and when i made it New York it was 32 degrees Fahrenheit
didnt do much for my fuel mileage but im SURE that would lower the range on an EV

in my opinion, it is the inability to "refuel" is the EVs weakness and will keep it from being a viable option

California currently (see what I did there?) has something like a miiion two registered ev's, that need charging.
.California will soon have $8 gasoline, if not $10
Ev sales will skyrocket, in the state that already has the most ev's, by far!
California also has a helluva time keeping the lights and air conditioners on in the summertime.

I wonder what comes next. And who am I gonna sell my california house to?

Gotta keep those "clean" EVs charged!

Gravity has insane amounts of acceleration, too, but that doesn't mean that I want to drive it.

E-cars are boring. Oh man it accelerates so fast. And then after that....? yawn. E-car racing...oh so fast, oh the lap times are so low....oh, so is the interest level. That's why self-driving is such a huge push now. People are bored to death in the things unless they're stomping the go pedal. And what happens to the range that manufacturers fight tooth and nail for when you step on the pedal?

And I'm not a fan of "oh the environment" when the batteries die and then the car isn't worth fixing.

The Cybertruck and its frame/hitch issues are proof that just because you can, doesn't mean you should. They (and all Tesla's) are poorly designed from the get-go. The place that handles my rental cars talked about the issues the rental cars had; range anxiety is the least of their concerns.

And my dislike for them pisses me off because they are, at the root of the matter, truly American vehicles.

A friend of mine works for a major car rental company. They find strong resistance from customers to rent the EVs in their fleet.
I can understand why....when one is driving an unfamiliar vehicle in an unfamiliar area, it sucks to have a wildcard for a car....one that may not be as easy to adapt to as other cars.
