Dads 67 "S"capade

Trans is vertical when measuring. Input shaft is as "deep/bottomed out", set ind to zero and pull up on input shaft. I believe its within spec, but ill chk.
I understand that. Is the weight on the output shaft, essentially taking up the slop in the bearing in the extension housing (I think that's what that does?)? Or is the output shaft hanging free? Hard to tell in the photo. I've seen end play specs for either method.
 
Sorry I dont understand the question. Trans is suspended vertically, output shaft isn't supported. I get what youre asking now.

Hey Steve, r u pulling the vb to change the rooster comb? Cause u will need to to use ur 67 nss. Or just use it as is and run a wire from the center post to ur original wire. Ur back up lights are in the column I believe so u won’t need the other 2 posts. Kim
 
Thanks Kim, here's a thread i just started.
My 67 has the backup lights switch on console shifter.
