Rear end is all in with new lines and hoses. I got the wheels and tires fixed up and put on hubcaps for now, until I get some new wheels. I did not plan in putting it in until later so it was short notice so I will clean and paint at a later date and it will need shoes and drums but there are good enough to get it going

I also did some under coating and Tomorrow will be a day focused on the rest of the motor stuff and getting it running.

Get with moparmat2000, he fabbed some out of 2"x3"x.080" square tube if memory serves. I saw them first hand, they came out very nice.

I cut into the floor in the back seat area. it only stuck up a half inch with two litle pieces of carpet padding along side hides it completely. on the front half a couple pieces of flat bar up to the floor for added tie points. These connectors really make the car a lot more ridged.

Good work you guys are doing.
I noticed the engine you installed didn't have the A Body 90º oil filter adaptor, but the straight truck adaptor. Were you able to install an oil filter on the engine with the straight adaptor?

Nice job.

George

thanks for all the info everybody. and george i have not got that far yet lol

only had a few hours as i forgot (but got quickly reminded) about a birthday cookout ughhhh but got a few things done. I will change the intake and carb in all do time but i just need to get it going and do a few other things first.

and of course the tedious process of mounting electronic boxes and running the wires needed to run them and also putting together the puzzle of power steering and alternator brackets and belts.

few more of the progress of the exhaust. i need to heat and bend one pipe to get get the muffler level but was out of gas for the torches so will do it later.

im having trouble with getting the pit man arm off with the headers so i probably need to drop the drivers side one to get the puller in there. then it is off for alignment and height adjustment.

i have some tire rub on the right front bottom corner of the fender so after all the alignment and adjustment stuff if it still hits i will put a tad smaller tires on it

ok tomorrow new tire goes on then Wednesday it goes for front end alignment then comes back for door and fender adjustment and enough body work to get it in primer.

time and money are getting tight and i want to drive this thing this year so i will minimal body work to get it in primer and maybe flat black for this year. then i will tear it back apart this winter and have the body done up right and get here a real paint job for next summer.
