Dad's Swinger getting a makeover

-
Nice work, keep it up!
BTW, did you know that you need to change the truck pan and pickup to a car pan and pickup on the engine?

Looking good! How are the quarters fitting with the doors? My drivers side fit pretty good, but the passenger side is being a pain.

Few issues with form/fit but it was expected and very easily fixed. There is a small gap between the door and the quarter on both sides but it was for the most part there before. It wil need a bit of adjustment but I think the bolts behind the kick panel will allow me to adjust the whole door back a tad. And if not no biggie it was like that before and the doors open/close fine

As u see along with changing one piece at a time we used many braces and other methods of support to assure the best possible chance of it not moving while getting it back together

not to much done tonight only had a couple hours but got the rest of the drivers side quarter welded on and trunk floor almost out. Tomorrow will get the trunk floor done and a few repairs under the rear deck then grind flat all the spot welds and fix and fill where the quarter and the rear pillar come together.

then got it all together and out of the garage and there is still a lot of final tweeking of adjusting doors and trunk and getting all the new gaskets and seals installed. Much of it will wait until or during the final body work stages (which will come after the motor is in)

its not perfect and not a show car and just a driver so over all i am very happy with the way its coming out so far

the engine bay was already black and planning on painting ( i changed my mind) the car black and silver with the bottom black so i decided to leave the engine bay black
