Are there gear ratio tags and / or limited slip tags on any of the rear cover bolts?

And on the bottom one, what do the spring perches measure center to center?

You could also clean the triangular shaped area to look for cast numbers like 60, 70, 80 etc. A 60 there for instance would indicate a Dana 60.

Bottom one 45 inches top pic 49 inches----- no tags

Both look to be 60s but the first one pictured looks like a heavy duty axle. The heavy duty units have cast steel spring pads. The second axle pictured has stamped spring pads. The heavy duty axle has 1/2 instead of 3/8 inch wall tubes and the Dodge HD 60 axles I’ve seen had 35 spline axles that are interchangeable with Dana 70 axles.

Yes, both are truck axles. There is strangely enough a standard 3/4 ton axle and a HD or Super Duty 3/4 axle (in the late 80's and early 90s Dodge trucks, anyway, so I would expect Ford and GM did too). The 3/4 HD was an option between the regular 3/4 ton and the full ton single rear wheel trucks that had Dana 70 axles. The regular duty 3/4 ton shared a few parts with the 1/2 ton heavy duty trucks that the heavy duty trucks did not.

Not all Dana 60's used the same carrier and gears. Over the years there were a variety of different setups including the limited slip carriers. You may want to see which gears are in each one and post a photo of what they look like inside with covers off.

For $75 Each .... As John McEnroe might say You can't be serious!!

It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to figure out the gear ratios and/or pull covers for photos. I used to have dozens of truck Dana's. Some of the earlier ones got sold to people who were going to chop off the ends and convert them to car Danas, but most ended up going over the scales. Good luck!
