I got a replacement instrument cluster for my 1973 Duster. The seller told me a couple of the power plug pins were broken and cracked loose. I got it anyway. Upon looking at it, and taking it all apart and cleaning everything, I was able to use a cheap soldering iron, solder, and flux to resolder the pins into their proper position. It actually went better than I thought it would with a cheap little soldering iron. I used to do electronics tech work and soldering many years ago, and with a good professional grade iron and the proper tip, you can do a lot. I just used what I had and it was ok.
If you have any soldering experience, try to fix it, just use lots of flux and clean it all with isopropyl alcohol afterwards.
