You could also cut out the offending area, weld a piece behind the opening, larger than the opening, a somewhat thicker piece even.

Then weld a thin gauge piece, same gauge as the dash, into the new 'hole' you cut out.

Prevents blow out when butt welding thin metal, and no one will ever know.

For the rounded section above the ash tray, same principle, use a piece of metal rod that fits the shape, stick it behind the dash, weld it up.

I've cheated like that before, some of this Mopar metal is just too thin from the beginning.

my body guy bonds everything ,rockers, wheel arches
think if you could find the cut-out ,could glue it in from the inside then a skim coat of bondo,just don't put your butts out on it
i bet even pc7 would hold it if you can hammer it smooth

That's the word on the street. New cars use it and I don't see sheet metal layin in the road from parts fallin off.
