Saw this today on www.Hemmings.com this morning:

Back in July, we reported that BG Fuel Systems, which had ceased operations, was being revived. The news of the company’s demise had come a surprise to many enthusiasts and racers, and seemed to make their Demon carburetors orphans of a sort, because service parts and other support would obviously have been gone with the company.
Details of Demon’s return when first announced were vague, but now it seems that the re-launch is set to take place officially at the SEMA show in Las Vegas next week. We’re still waiting for details, and we suspect the best parts will be kept under wraps until the Vegas reveal, but the general information is consistent with what we were hearing mid-summer: The former BG company was acquired by an existing performance vendor and it will be run as a “stand-alone” unit, with its own production and marketing efforts.

It appears that just about everything that was part of BG’s retail Demon line is returning under the new company. That includes the variety of four-barrels, from the single-feed Road Demon Jr. to the mammoth Race Demon, as well as the SixShooter tri-carb setups and the vintage hot rod-style Demon 98 two-barrel. The company is also bringing back a number of the fuel pumps and pressure regulators that were previously part of the BG line. We’re told that the designs of these products will not change, though the new company says it has revised and refined the manufacturing processes to improve quality control consistency; production for all of these items is said to remain in the United States.
In the meantime, the new company is releasing a celebratory poster, designed by famed hot rod artist/cartoonist George Trosley and taking a horror movie theme, which seems apropos for the SEMA show kick-off that falls this year on Halloween. The poster shows Trosley’s characters, Krass & Bernie, known to many gearheads from their regular appearances in the old CARtoons comic books, and features a Dodge Demon, naturally sporting a pair of Demon carbs. To find the new company online, use the www.demoncarbs.com address, and check there next week for news following the re-launch.

It's great that they are reviving BG Products. Do you know what Corporation bought them?

Good to hear. Now if their tech dept improves it's customer service and their quality control inspectors start demanding top quality on their products, it might be a viable company again. I think they "had" a good product at one time but things seem to go downhill fairly quickly and they started getting a bad reputation for service and quality. Guys began to steer clear of their carbs after they went out of business.

"new company says it has revised and refined the manufacturing processes" does this translate to "made in china" (or some other country) to increase profit margin.....just thought I'd ask. I'm all for a variety of products being available for our cars, just wish more of it would be Made in the USA. More manufacturing=more jobs=better economy. Guess I'll have to check it out next week.

Craig, here's the next portion of the sentence in the announcement you quoted: "production for all of these items is said to remain in the United States".

Sure hope it's true and something I'm going to pointedly ask their reps at SEMA next week.

I heard the parent company of Holley bought it. Way to eliminate your competition by cornering the market. I'm not complaining, I love all three of my Demons.

I'm sick of all these corporations using bankruptcy courts to cheat their suppliers, investors and workers.

Bankruptcy used to mean the company was gone out of business--forever. Everything got sold to highest bidder. Now today we got holley, Chrysler, demon and like 100's more companies just selling the same products like nothing ever happen.

They aren't getting my money, I buy a used, holley, mopar, demon that was made in the good old days. We brought a GM Aura this week, was made in April 2008 before all the BS happen. The new GM isn't getting a dime of my money...same with demon, holley, etc.

You're 100% right, GJ. One of the people working the Demon Carburetor booth at SEMA confirmed what you heard. They told me they were bought by High Performance Industries, the same company that owns Holley, Earls, and several others.
The highest-ranking person in the booth confirmed they're bringing back the most popular products previously manufactured by Demon, including the Speed, Road, Road Jr., Demon 98, Mighty, Race, and King line of Demon carbs, and the SixShooter systems.
Here's some quotes from the literature I picked up:

"It's never easy to improve on a legend, but the new team of racing and performance enthusiasts at Demon Carburetion are focused on perfecting the innovative designs loved by gearheads across the globe. All fuel calibrations are being checked to assure performance that will get you down the street or track! New manufacturing methods combined with strict quality controls ensure your new Demon carburetor will be your favorite Demon ever!"

"Fuel system products will also be back with a wicked new look and performance to match including: fuel pumps, regulators, filters, and service parts and accessories"

" Each component is now fully CNC machined in a modern ISO 9001:2008 certified facility to ensure consistent performance using updated machining processes, plating capability and cleaning equipment. Plus, each Demon carb will be wet flow tested to assure it is ready to run. If it doesn't check out it doesn't leave the factory!"
