different dia. brake boosters

I see there are different dia. brake boosters, my question is does 8" dia. booster need less vacuum then a 9" unit ?

I believe it's the other way around, bigger diameter the less vacuum it takes to move it or to put another way bigger diam makes more push power per same vacuum signal

It's actually the atmospheric air pressure that does the work, so yes, the bigger the diaphragm, the more force it can generate on the pushrod.

Or go Hydro-boost and it won't matter because there is no vacuum.
