Differential over flow tube

On my 65 Dart, the rear vent was part of the bolt that attaches the brake line T, as I recall. It has a crimped-on aluminum cap that sits loose. I wonder why gear oil is coming out. Have you checked the level? My rear is usually slightly wet on all my cars, but no drips below. I assumed that was just from engine leaks that blow back. If you aren't getting significant oil loss, consider it a benefit in that it keeps the underside from rusting. I keep a pan under all my cars. I haven't had a car that doesn't leak something somewhere, except maybe the 1st year of a new car, a few times.
