Im leaking fluid out of my trans even when its not running. I have wiped off the area completely and it is leaking from the tube entering the case. What kind of seal goes around the tube to seal it and is there a upgraded one available? by the way the trans is a late 60's.
 
Yes, just a rubber o-ring. Replace the o-ring and I always put some silicone around the tube before I install it. Haven't had one leak yet doing it this way.
 
I've never even had to silicone them. I just grease before installation like I do every other O-ring them and never had a new one leak.
