Which is the positive? The male plug or the female. This is a MP Electronic Dist.

There is no "positive." It's keyed to fit the Mopar ECU box harness

Yes, trying to convert to a ClassicHEI unit.

Aah, just tell him. The prong is positive, socket is negative off the distributor although its officially called signal and ground (-)

If he is hooking up an aftermarket ignition, it needs to be pointed out as there is no keyed connector going to the MSD (eg) harness or even piecing together a mopar ecu harness.
