I'm using a 5.9L magnum and 46RE that I pulled from a 2001 1500 Ram for a swap. The transmission slip yoke has a damper ring. Should I keep the damper in the swap or press it off the yoke, or does it make a difference?

Depending on the length of the driveshaft, you probably won't need it. On LWB trucks, the dampner was there to cancel out the harmonics of the long driveshaft. Good luck with the build!

The reason I'm asking this line of questioning is because the damper is causing me to raise the floor tunnel under the bench seat. That means I need to either raise the seat an inch or so, or remove the damper.
