ok not sure if this gonna work. I was wondering what everybody thinks about the Dodge Colt? I wanted to know is the Colt an A BODY? I know it's an import but where does it fit in the MOPAR WORLD???????? I thought my A BODY friends might have some imput. I LOVE MY PRO STOCK DODGE COLT...but I think I love my Barracuda more:burnout:

Love the Colts, not sure where it fits in but always wanted one...just hard to find...would love to drop a 340 in one...what does your have and how fast is she? :glasses7:

We're building a 528 HEMI 15-1 makes about 1000hp a little tamer than the blown big block on alcohol fasted it ever went was 7:99@199mph it was crashed that's why we're going more NOSTALGIA with the HEMI 96 inch wheel base makes for a WILD RIDE!!

It isn't a "Mopar" and certainly shares nothing with a Mopar A Body! They were Mitsubishi cars that Dodge just put their name on.

If you let ls engines in a-bodies on here I don't see why not? it's got a mopar engine at least!

Well I was looking in my direct connection book because it has a section for build roll cages
it covers "E" and "A" bodies and then Colts. It does say that colts have shorter wheel base
at 95 inches compared to the A body at 108 inches and that they are lighter then the A body cars. To me, this implies that they are not A bodies. But so far I have not found
a designation for it yet other then Colt. They are nice cars all the same.

Damn,I hope you have quick reactions! Wild ride is right.....

I know what your saying 69 340 GTS but my DODGE COLT does say DODGE on the VIN and if RONNIE SOX drove one it's A MOPAR!!!!!!!!!!!! and it has a HEMI!!! how could it not be a MOPAR? I know another manufacturer built the car but DODGE did MAKE IT their own :angel12:

Don Carlton drove both Missiles and a Colt too.

love those polished Super Trick rims!

I thought I would ask :) this little car confuses so many people...I wasn't sure what MA MOPAR listed the car under...and this is the car after it wrecked at 140 mph, but slowly getting it back in shape again

That's the one thing that makes me a little nervous about this car,is the fact a few people lost their lives...but I am going to update the chassis and make it as SAFE as possible and then on to the Barracuda...NEVER ENOUGH MOPARS!!

I always liked the Colt. Parents had a yellow and black one in the mid 70s. Loved that car. A couple of Pittsburgh winters and she had rust holes everywhere though.

If I am not mistaken isnt the Colt the same body design as the Plymouth Cricket? I remember years ago learning to drive a stick in a Plymouth Arrow. To me they all kind of look the same.
